Applicant will be responsible for proper lockout/tagout; cleaning paint booth walls and windows; mopping; cutting and replacing plastic covering; replacing robot covers; cleaning sludge from flood sheets and under booths; cleaning purge pots; scraping and cleaning conveyors, rollers and rails; replacing filters; cleaning ovens; replacing foil; cleaning air showers; cleaning tanks; etc.
Applicant must be able to safely work in a high paced industrial environment; have a general understanding of industrial safety practices; and be able to use a variety of hand tools and electrical equipment. Previous industrial experience is preferred, but not required.
This position requires a lot of physical activity, such as lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, etc. The work environment can be hot and cold (i.e. not air conditioned), noisy, dirty, dusty, etc.
WATER BLASTER 5122
Work Shift - 2nd Shift (2:00p – 10:30p) / Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun - $20.00ph
As a Water Blaster, you are operating high pressure water blasting equipment. You will complete your task work independently with minimal supervision. You will be expected to identify potential issues and report those to your Group Leader; together you develop timely solutions to resolve potential issues.
Necessary Skills/Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and bend throughout the shift.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to hold and operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time.
This is a physically demanding job – must be able to work in hot and damp environments, wear heavy PPE, climb stairs, push equipment, and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
If you apply for either position, an orientation and training class attendance is required by all applicants. In addition, applicants must pass training class quizzes. Applicants must have reliable transportation, pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test.
Once you are hired, you must wear head protection, safety / steeled toed shoes, safety glasses, lint-free suit, chemical and/or cut resistant gloves, face shield, etc. If prescription glasses are worn, either prescription safety glasses (meeting ANSI Z87.1 standard) or “overviews” are required. Most of these items will be provided for you, with exception of safety / steeled toed shoes. If you are unable to make purchase prior to starting work, GTS will purchase the shoes for you and deduct the cost from your first paycheck.
