About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Estimator to join our team!

In this role, you’ll prepare accurate cost estimates for industrial construction and manufacturing projects — ensuring bids are competitive, precise, and aligned with company goals. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to help deliver successful, on-time projects within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work and required materials.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

  • Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for completeness and accuracy.

  • Identify cost-saving measures and value-engineering opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain historical cost data for future reference and pricing consistency.

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project plans and schedules.

  • Prepare and present bid proposals to management or clients.

  • Support contract negotiations and assist in pre-construction planning.

  • Track changes in design or scope and update cost estimates accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 3–7 years of estimating experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy construction environments.

  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, HeavyBid, RSMeans, or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of industrial construction methods, materials, and equipment costs.

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience estimating mechanical, civil, or electrical scopes for industrial facilities.

  • Familiarity with procurement, scheduling, and cost control practices.

  • Certification from AACE, ASPE, or a similar organization a plus.
