PAINT CLEANING – Mazda/Toyota Manufacturing (Madison, AL)

Orientation and training class attendance is required by all applicants. In addition, applicants must pass training class quizzes.

1st Shift (6a-4:30p) / Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun - $18.50ph

2nd Shift (6p-4:30a) / Mon, Tu, Wed, Sat - $19.00ph

2nd Shift (6p-4:30a) / Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun - $19.00ph

Applicant will be responsible for proper lockout/tagout; cleaning paint booth walls and windows; mopping; cutting and replacing plastic covering; replacing robot covers; cleaning sludge from flood sheets and under booths; cleaning purge pots; scraping and cleaning conveyors, rollers and rails; replacing filters; cleaning ovens; replacing foil; cleaning air showers; cleaning tanks; etc.

Applicant must be able to safely work in a high paced industrial environment; have a general understanding of industrial safety practices; and be able to use a variety of hand tools and electrical equipment.  Previous industrial experience is preferred.

Must wear head protection, safety / steeled toed shoes, safety glasses, lint-free suit, chemical and/or cut resistant gloves, face shield, etc.  If prescription glasses are worn, either prescription safety glasses (meeting ANSI Z87.1 standard) or “overviews” are required. Most of these items will be provided for you, with exception of safety / steeled toed shoes. If you are unable to make purchase prior to starting work, GTS will purchase the shoes for you and deduct the cost from your first paycheck.

This position requires a lot of physical activity, such as lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, etc. The work environment can be hot and cold (i.e. not air conditioned), noisy, dirty, dusty, etc.

Applicant must have reliable transportation, pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test.
