Live in an assigned cottage during scheduled shift to supervise and care for children in the program. Perform duties involved in daily care of the children and physical maintenance of the building. Maintain building in a safe and clean condition. Provide guidance, life skills and support to children in a therapeutic atmosphere. Candidate must be a High school graduate or equivalent. College degree preferred in Human Resources or Education Curriculum. Experience must include one year of paid professional experience in a residential program working with adolescent or social service agency serving children and families, or a combination of paid and volunteer experience that totals 12 months or more. Good oral, writing, program planning and organizational skills. Computer competency is required. Provide transportation to school and recreation activities. Ability to accompany children to medical appointments and mental health counseling sessions. Be alert to individual needs. Work within appropriate boundaries to promote change in the resident. Prepare and serve meals. Prepare food production reports and other reports and duties as required.
