Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic professional to support the daily care and development of young children in a safe, nurturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, communicates well with families and team members, and is committed to promoting each child’s growth, well-being, and positive early learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of children throughout the day.
  • Support daily routines, including meals, naps, hygiene, transitions, and age-appropriate activities.
  • Engage children in educational, creative, and play-based experiences that encourage development.
  • Maintain a warm, respectful, and positive environment that supports social and emotional growth.
  • Assist with classroom or play area organization, cleaning, and general upkeep.
  • Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding daily activities, observations, and concerns.
  • Follow all health, safety, licensing, and program policies and procedures.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to children’s needs, behaviors, and routines.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain patient, calm, and attentive in a busy environment.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate child development and care practices is a plus.
  • Ability to meet any required background check, health, or licensing requirements as applicable.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification may be required or preferred depending on the organization.
